Trying to get rid of plasterboard but confused about the process and regulations?
The Hippobag gives you two simple options for getting rid of segregated plasterboard.
Single bags
If you have a small amount of plasterboard to get rid of, then just use a Hippobag. This is one of the easiest ways to get rid of plasterboard, and with 100% of the waste recycled, it is an environmentally friendly and sustainable option. Segregated plasterboard will be collected for the same retail price as a standard bag, however it must only contain uncontaminated plasterboard and gypsum products. For more details please review the table below or contact us on 0845 850 0 850 for more details.

Ten bags
If you have 10 bags or more then Hippowaste’s™ new nationwide plasterboard recycling and collection service will collect your waste plasterboard from site at a fixed price based on the site location. This can be as little as £25 a bag! It’s simple, there are no hidden tonnage surcharges and you’re not tied to any brand or manufacturer take-back scheme. For more information please visit our Hippowaste website.
The regulations
In 2009, the Environmental Agency passed legislation that plasterboard must not be land-filled and that it should be separated for recovery and recycling as it is damaging to the environment. Our service allows you to easily manage plasterboard waste, safe in the knowledge that 100% of the recovered plasterboard will be recycled whilst complying with EA regulation.
To register your site for collections, call us on 0845 850 0 850 or email plasterboard@hippowaste.co.uk and we’ll contact you to discuss your project in more detail.
Hippowaste standard ‘Terms of Use’ apply.
