At HIPPOWASTETM we are always keen to promote safe waste management and good recycling practises to industry and the community. Through our ‘Grants up for Grabs‘ scheme we were able to help charity Furniture Now! with illegally fly-tipped waste on their property.
Furniture Now! is a recycling and training charity that provides high quality, low cost furniture to low income families and people in need. At HIPPOWASTE, we were very pleased to lend a helping hand to a charity that shares our passion for recycling and safe waste management with our ‘Grants up for Grabs’ scheme.
The story was featured in the Eastbourne Gazette on the 3rd of August, click here to view the whole story.
Furniture Now! always welcome good quality, unwanted furniture but have unfortunately experienced illegal fly-tipping on their premises. As Furniture Now! is a registered charity, resources to spend on waste disposal are low, so we were glad to grant them a free HIPPOSKIPTM and collection service. We were also able to recycle 80% of the waste given to us.
If you would like to learn more about our Grants up for Grabs scheme, please visit our page here. The scheme is available to any UK registered charity that requires help towards their waste management.
Volunteers Paul Payne and Stuart Scarisbrick are pictured above with the HIPPOSKIP. Visit Furniture Now’s website here to find out how you can support their great work.
